The Freetrade app is now available on iOS in Sweden.
Welcome, Swedish investors!
Today we take the next step in our expansion with the official launch in the App Store in Sweden.
Back in March we received our Swedish brokerage licence and began adding customers from our waitlist. The app is localised and supports local payment methods (Swish) and local account, the ISK (Swedish equivalent to an ISA, providing investors both tax and reporting benefits).
Today the app is now available for iOS users, with Android to follow in the coming months.
500 US stocks will be available in this phase of the launch, with many more to be added shortly. US fractional shares also available, allowing investors to own a piece of the most expensive US shares from just 25 SEK.
In the coming months users can expect many more new features and stocks including Swedish stocks like H&M and Volvo Cars.
Android users can sign up for the waitlist and get early access to the app by recommending friends.
The other good news is that the majority of the underlying proprietary engineering and operational work we’re developing for Sweden also enables us to launch in other new markets.
After Sweden, a pan-European launch will follow with a version of Freetrade available across the EEA, before rolling out localised versions in each country. 🌍
This should not be read as personal investment advice and individual investors should make their own decisions or seek independent advice.
When you invest, your capital is at risk. The value of your portfolio can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invest. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
Eligibility to invest into an ISA in the UK or ISK in Sweden and the value of tax savings depends on personal circumstances and all tax rules may change.
